Can I lever the door back on myself?

We would rather you did not. A derailed door is still attached to a wound spring and at least one cable, and the moment a roller pops back in, that stored energy has somewhere to go. Levering also bends the track lip, which is what turns a one hour job into a track replacement.

Is a door stuck at an angle dangerous?

Yes, particularly if it is part way up. The weight is being carried by whatever is still holding, often one cable and a bent bracket. Keep cars and children out from under it, leave the opener alone, and if it is blocking your only way out, say so when you call.

It hopped out once and reseated itself. Worth a look?

Yes. A roller that hops out and back in has usually told you the track is loose at a bracket, the stems are worn, or the door is running out of square. It will do it again, and the second time it often takes the cable with it.
