Often yes. Pull the release cord to free the trolley, then lift with both hands from the middle of the bottom section. With the spring gone that is the full weight of the door, so if it does not move easily, leave it. Never prop it on a broom handle and walk underneath.

Do you work on extension spring doors as well?
